The tasks and challenges facing Sierra Leone are enormous. Amidst growing global economic crisis, the government of President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma continues to make significant impact both locally and internationally.

However, very little of the government’s achievements and successes have been highlighted by the media. Instead, western media have deliberately turned blind eyes on us. They found pleasure making capital of the negative aspect of our country.

The SIERRA Update considers this to be very unacceptable. That is why we have decided to bridge that gap - first with the introduction of our print edition (circulating in the United Kingdom, the USA, Sierra Leone and some parts of Europe) – and now through our online edition.

The aim is to reach the wider International Community as well as Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad bringing you developments back home as well as highlights of issues relating to Sierra Leone making the rounds within the Diaspora.
